Mary Dalimonte

Mary Dalimonte has been in the retail grocery industry for more than 40 years. She is a 2018 Golden Pencil recipient and currently sits on several boards as director, including Giant Tiger Stores, Italian Chamber of Commerce of Ontario Canada (ICCO Canada) and Grocery Business’ Advisory Board. She is also a board advisor to the Inspired Organization for MBA future leaders. She retired in 2018, where she held the role of senior vice president of merchandising and commercial programs at Sobeys Inc. Described as a “merchandising trailblazer” by her peers, Dalimonte held progressively  senior roles at Loblaw and Sobeys. Despite retiring in 2018, she has been active in the industry and continues her career-long commitment to mentoring next generation business leaders through her involvement as an Academy Mentor to Women in Food Industry Management, and a Mentor Leader to the Network of Executive Women.
