Brenda Kirk

Brenda Kirk is senior vice president of merchandising and procurement for Pattison Food Group, which operates numerous grocery banners in Western Canada and in the U.S. Kirk has been with the company for her entire career, which began when she was 17 years old and hired as a cashier in Nanaimo, B.C. During her career, she was appointed store manager in the company’s Smart Market location, a fully automated concept store, marking a milestone for Kirk and Save-On-Foods because it was the first time in the company’s history that a woman held the role of store manager. She has been a champion of diversity and inclusion and helped to create a company program to support the advancement of women, known as The Inspire Network. Today she is chairperson of the program. She also sits on the boards of GS1 and the Canadian Health Food Association, and chairs the board for Imperial Distributors Inc.
