André Gagné

André Gagné retired as vice president of fresh merchandising for Metro Ontario in the fall of 2022 after serving in the role for more than a decade. Prior to his work with Metro, he was vice president and general manager of Loeb Canada, a grocery chain acquired by Metro in 1999. Gagné developed expertise in merchandising, store operations, private label and management, skills be used when he launched a winery in Prince Edward County in 2018. Today he continues to devote time to the food industry on a consulting basis focused on perishable foods in retail. He served for three years as chair of the board of The Grocery Foundation.
