Galen G. Weston

Galen G. Weston is chairman and CEO of George Weston Limited as well as executive chairman of Loblaw Companies Limited, overseeing some 2,500 stores in food and drug channels. Weston has been intrinsic to introducing environmentally and socially responsible initiatives, and guided Loblaw through periods of evolution in response to a rapidly changing business environment, including the creation and initial public offering of Choice Properties Real Estate Investment Trust in 2013, of which he is chairman, and the acquisition of Shoppers Drug Mart shortly thereafter. In 2017, as part of a long-term succession plan, Weston was appointed CEO of George Weston Limited. He is chairman and director of President’s Choice Bank and a director of Wittington Investments Limited. He is also a director of Selfridges Group Limited and president of the W. Garfield Weston Foundation.
